School Improvement At Rajanagram
The SDA High school at Rajanagaram is a residential school with a capacity for 500 children caters primarily to Boarders. The aim of this project was to improve basic facilities, safety and Computer education for all the school children. The project activities were: Construction of safety wall, renovating toilet blocks to ensure safe sanitation facilities in the Hostel, building an additional borewell to ensure supply of continuous drinking water and build a fully operational computer laboratory.
School Improvement At Lambadipet
The Lambadipet SDA School, is a small school located in the basement of a building in a slum area of Vijayawada. Classes, covering LKG to Standard V in both English medium and Telugu, are taught in open teaching spaces by teachers, who have no resources.HHWS contributed to the improvement of the school by donating classroom furniture and classroom libraries for three classrooms.
Home Improvements At Hyderabad
Elim Home is a home for 108 Orphans and Vulnerable children in Hyderabad, Telangana State. HHWS supported the following project activities as part of improving quality of living for the children:Building an additional borewell, Improving the existing home kitchen & dining hall, constructing collapsed wall, addressing various electrical issues at the home and providing basic needs for children such as Mattresses, Lockers, mesh door, musical instruments and a Refrigerator.
Children's Park At Kollegal
The School for Speech and Hearing impaired, Kollegal caters primarily to sponsored Special children from Karnataka with Hearing and speech Disability. Most of the school staff are from Kollegal and a few Staff reside on campus. HHWS built a full-fledged children’s play park for recreation and benefit of the children. The children are thrilled with the new play park and enjoy it during their leisure time.
Computer Lab At Kollegal
The SDA High school, Kollegal caters primarily to children from Kollegal and surrounding villages. This school is a rapidly developing schools with 1,750 students. With grades from LKG to 10th Grade and it has shown significant growth in last three years. As a part of their curriculum the school needed to teach computer science. HHWS helped by setting up a fully furnished computer laboratory for the school.
