The Society is recognized as a Charitable Trust in terms of Section 12A (a) of the Income tax Act, 1961 and has been granted exemption under Section 80 G of the same Act.

One of the fundamental duties of every citizen of India is, ‘To strive towards excellence in all spheres of individual and collective activity, so that the nation constantly rises to higher levels of endeavour and achievement.

~The Constitution of India

For over three decades, HHWS has been creating a positive change by providing education opportunities, relief and community development activities through ongoing sponsorship programs and development initiatives for disadvantaged children and their communities across India.

HHWS focuses on a two-pronged approach to deliver opportunities for the marginalized groups; firstly, providing financial assistance towards the education of disadvantaged children through a network of private English medium schools, colleges and vocational training centers; and secondly, through the implementation of development initiatives and projects focused on building teaching staff capacity, infrastructure, resources, and long-term sustainability within the schools and surrounding communities.

Today, HHWS sponsors over 5,000 students in more than 50 High Schools and 30 colleges across India. HHWS extends assistance to needy students till they complete a bachelor’s degree. Additionally, HHWS funds 4 children’s homes and 2 special schools to support the Orphans and Vulnerable children.

Our Mission

We equip children, from disadvantaged communities, to improve their family and community by providing them with an opportunity to attain holistic development. We do this through education scholarships and development projects in the schools and communities.

Our Vision

A country where every child exercises all of his/her rights, especially the right to education and the right to a dignified life.

Our Beliefs

We are committed to the poor: We are called to serve the neediest people of the earth, to relieve their suffering and to promote the transformation of their well being.

We believe in good stewardship: Acknowledging that all funds donated to us belong to God, we endeavor to be transparent, accountable and honest in all our dealings. We take great care of the resources entrusted to us by others, whether it is money, time, or trust, and we are open and transparent in our reporting.

We value people:
We believe that every person is created equal and entitled to freedom, justice, peace and opportunity. We celebrate the richness of diversity in human personality, culture and contribution. We build strong, positive relationships that are open and honest and embedded in trust.

We believe in unlocking potential: As a Society we choose to embrace challenges and take on responsibilities that push us beyond our previous limits and help us grow. We take the time to coach and mentor one another, and do not hesitate to ask questions and seek help. Regardless of our role, we take initiative and assume ownership.
